How To Measure Your Head For A Fedora Hat

Hats are a must-have accessory, especially if you want to “top off” for your clothing ostume.

There are many styles, types and designs of hats to choose from.  There is mens and women's hat sizes, flex fit hat size and fitted hat sizes. Heads come in different sizes and a wide variety of shapes. However, no matter what type of  fedora hat style you choose or the kind of head you have, you can find a  hat size that is a good fit! This is why learning how to measure your head is so important. 

Measuring your head size does not require a professional.  Rather, it just requires the right method and giving attention to detail. 

Here is a quick tip that you should know before ordering your fedora hat:

Measuring Your Size

1. Use textile measuring tape to measure the distance around your head crossing through the center part of the back of your head and the forehead just above the eyebrow.

2. Check the measurement of the tape wrapped around your head and record the measurement in centimeters (cm). We recommend sizing up if you land between two sizes.

Fedora hats can shrink over time due to sweat and humidity. With a slightly roomier hat, it is much easier to add foam pads or  paper towels to the inside of the sweatband to fill in any gaps.
